In 2024 JAMIEL LAURENCE CREATION is creating a monthly audition process for paid dance positions, exclusively for those dance artists participating in the #JLC ecology across CLASS. , C.C.C. , INTENSIVE. and across our other services.

1 Dancer for Early-Development Work with Choreographer Jamiel Devernay-Laurence

​

Choreographer Jamiel Devernay-Laurence is currently seeking a talented and dedicated dancer for an early-development dance project. The role requires a dancer with strong technical practice, creative responsiveness, and enthusiasm for exploration.

 

Key Requirements:

​

  1. Agility and Safety: The ideal candidate should demonstrate agility and technical safety when transitioning between floor and elevation, showcasing the stages in between.

  2. Quick Processing: The dancer should possess the ability to quickly process choreography and intentions, indicating a high level of adaptability and responsiveness within a creative process.

  3. Technical Proficiency: An understanding of key classical and contemporary technical forms is essential.

  4. Physical & Mental Stamina: The role involves a full working production day, requiring candidates to have both physical and mental stamina to sustain energy and focus throughout.

  5. Applications are accepted exclusively from participants in the JLC ecology (CLASS. C.C.C. INTENSIVE.)

  • Date of Engagement: 31/01/24

  • Hours: 10 am - 6 pm

  • Fee: £200

This AUDITION. Tuesday 30/01/24 will consist of a 1hr30 choreographic workshop with Jamiel Devernay-Laurence, and observed by his team.
